A Bottle for Tears

Tears of sorrow,
Tears of shame,
Tears of joy,
Tears brimming with hope,
Tears of true humility...

Each of our tears matters to GOD.
HE made us for fellowship
and He cares about our feelings.

My Sweet friend Becky gave me this precious jar
on the eve of my daughter's wedding in 2005.
She knew the tears I would shed were priceless.

"You keep track of all my sorrows,
You have collected all my tears
in Your bottle."

How about you?
What brings tears to your eyes?

  1. I never knew they made jars of tears. How beautiful!!

When I read stories of God's love and goodness, I always cry. My kids laugh at me, but it is ok. I know it is God.

I also cry when my family is hurting and I can do nothing to help. I feel their hurt and want to fix it.

  2. Tears of empathy! They are the best.
    Blessings to you precious one.

  3. Jess, I dear friend pointed this verse out to me when I was losing my father. It helped so much to remember that my Heavenly Father takes note of every one of my sorrows.

  4. Hi Jessica,
When I was younger I just felt like I cried over everything, good or bad!! And a friend shared that verse with me, and I said Man, I must have a warehouse full of jars!! She died laughing!
But it sure makes you realize that the Lord is perfectly okay with our tears whether sad or joyous!! and that he cares so much He bottles them up, blows me away!!
    How bout you???
Hope you are having a good week hon,
    Love ya, Nellie
P.S. I know I have said it before, but I absolutely love this new pic of you. It truly is an awesome picture. Hope you made some to frame for your kids.

  5. Hi! Jess, I absolutely Love this scripture! I just cannot imagin that He stores our tears in a bottle! Just one more thing our "Father" shows us of how much He loves us, to care enough to store our tears! Thank you Lord that you care this much! Have a great wk-end:)OH; by the way that bottle is beautiful.
