Motherhood Matters Give-A-Way

Mama Manatee swims by to announce my first Give-A-Way!

Motherhood comes in all shapes and sizes.

But it always requires care and protection.

When the temperature plummeted last month, this Mama Manatee led her calf into the warmer waters of Blue Springs State Park in Orange City, Florida.
There they frolicked for many to admire, reminding me to take time to be playful with my children and grandchildren!

*Give-a-way***Give-a-way***Give-a-way*

From now until midnight on Monday, January 10th, leave a comment that starts with the words: Motherhood matters...  and your name will be entered into a drawing for a complimentary copy of my children's book Grandpa's Magical Accordion.   Comments must be shorter than 50 words to qualify!  Invite friends to visit and leave a comment, I'm excited to read your thoughts.

  1. "Motherhood matters to me because she is my daughter. From the moment I first held her, and even before, I loved her. This precious gift from God, who kicked and squirmed ever since she was born, needed me, but I think I needed her more. Motherhood matters because of love."

  2. Hi! Jess, what fun! I love give-a-ways! in fact fixing to do one as well! Back to your topic~ "Motherhood Matters", wow! I have come to realize that no matter how old your children get, it seems that the concerns for them just gets deeper, that you still have the greatest desire to still want to do things for them, make their decisions, hurt when they hurt, and most of all the Love of a parent, just gets more complicated! sometimes I have caught myself saying..I wish they were still little and at home with me! Thanks Jess, for this sweet gift. I love children's books! I will share this on my blog, as well!

  3. Motherhood matters because a mother's prayers go on forever. A mother is always praying for her children, from the time that they are born through their growing-up years and on into their adult years. A mother's heart wants God's best for her children...always!

  4. Motherhood matters. More than money, fame, achievements or "stuff"--motherhood matters more.

  5. From Cherise Edwards:
MOTHERHOOD MATTERS I KNOW FOR A FACT..FOR I HAD A MOTHER WHO'S LOVE WAS NO ACT..SHE MADE THE BEST CHOICES...THE BEST SHE KNEW HOW..AT 16 IT WAS DIFFICULT BUT SHE WAS ALWAYS PROUD..GOD MADE HER THAT WAY AND FIVE KIDS WERE BLESSED..SO DOES MOTHERHOOD MATTER, OH YES INDEED YES♥

  6. I know the give-away is over (congratulations Rebecca!) and I already have my book so I didn't want to enter...but I love the quote "The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world." Mothers are the unsung heroes of any society. They are the glue that holds the family together. I believe that bottle of tears that God saves are mother's tears...and someday it will be revealed how motherhood mattered!
